CHALLENGE​

Design new icons that explain product features while seemlessly fitting into Grip-Rite's current icon library

OVERVIEW

Following brand guidelines I created three icons illustrating key product performace features. The most difficult to illustrate was the deeper embedment icon because it required showing a nail penetrating multiple layers of construction while maintaning clarity at small scale. To illustrate layers, I drew horizontal lines with the middle layer filled in with a slanted line pattern vs a solid fill color to provide visual separation between layers but without distracting from the nail itself.
