OVERVIEW
I created an interactive pdf template for the company's quarterly market updates that customers can download on the Ingredients Online website and from the email newsletters. The report features industry news, market forecasts and price trends. Important design features include the interactive navigation, magazine style page layouts, and a price trends visual system. For the ingredients report section, I developed a visual system to quickly identify price trends: 1) a downward green arrow means prices are dropping, 2) a level purple arrow means prices are stable, and 3) a upward red arrow means prices are increasing. Arrow color choices are based on audience perception. For example, for both buyers and sellers falling prices can be percieved as good because of greater purchasing power for buyers or a potential increase in units sold for sellers.
